I have PhD in Education. My doctoral thesis focusing on Design-oriented pedagogy received The Doctoral Dissertation Award 2014 by The Finnish Educational Research Association (FERA) and I was also granted by the  Young Researcher Award of the UEF in 2015. Nowadays, I work works as a senior researcher at UEF and my current research focuses on, for example, participatory learning, co-design, data agency and AI in K-12 education.

I am also Bachelor of Visual Arts graduated from the North Karelia University of Applied Sciences in 2003.
